The live oak, Quercus virginiana, is the state tree of Georgia. In this painting, I wanted to capture the feeling of strength and calm that this mighty oak lends in a peaceful riverside setting. The piece is framed in a silver plein air frame. Overall dimensions are approximately 30" x 36".
